         Doctrinal Statement

1.  We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.  (Psalm 119:160; II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:21; Romans 3:4)

2.  We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; II Corinthians 13:14; I Peter 1:2; John 10:30)

3.  We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Colossians 2:9-10; Matthew 1:20-25; John 1:1-2; John 1:14)

4.  We believe that all mankind is by nature and by choice sinful and in need of Salvation.  Further for the salvation of a lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Romans 1:18-32; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12-21; John 3:5)

5.  We believe that all genuine believers (those that have put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ), are eternally secure, being kept by God's power, sealed by the Holy Spirit and not by any work of man.  (John 6:31-40; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:15-17; Romans 8:28-39; Romans 9:30-33; I Peter 1:3-5; Ephesians 1:12-13)

6.  We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost:  they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 3:6-7; I Corinthians 2:12; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:3-4)

7.  We believe that water baptism is for believers and that it is an act of personal obedience and a public declaration identifying with the Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection to new life in Christ.  We believe that this baptism is best symbolized an taught in scripture to be by immersion.  (Romans 6:1-6; Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 2:12; Matthew 3:16; Acts 8:38-39)

8.  We believe that the Lord's Supper is instructed by Christ, in which believers partake in remembrance of Christ's death, burial and resurrection, looking forward to His promised return.  (I Corinthians 11:23-26)

9.  We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 12:12-13)
